Highlander Grogg K-Cup Review
December 31, 2020Iced Coffee K-Cup Review
Bottom Line
Looking for an iced coffee K-cup? You don’t need a K-Cup. Instead, you need a single-serve coffee machine with Strong Brew functionality or an Over Ice mode for an extra concentrated cup intended to be chilled on the spot without becoming over-diluted. Unfortunately, most K-Cups aren’t strong enough to withstand being watered down. What you really need is a reusable K-Cup to pack with extra freshly ground coffee beans for an extra-strong, flavorful, and cheaper coffee than you could make with any iced coffee K-Cup.
- Roaster: Varies
- Blend: Varies
- Strength: Mostly medium and dark roasts
- Caffeine: About 75-100 mg
Iced Coffee K-Cup Tasting Notes
Mazagran was the original iced coffee, originating in Algeria around the 1840s. Modern iced coffee became popular in the 19th century and is now taking the world by storm.
There aren’t any K-Cup pods specifically for iced coffee. You can use whatever K-Cup you want, though we strongly recommend using the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup. To brew an iced coffee using a K-Cup—traditional or reusable—just follow five simple steps:
- Power up your brewer
- Add iced to your glass
- Insert your K-Cup
- Brew on Strong or Over Ice (if available)
- Optional: Add milk and/or sweeteners to taste
The best iced coffee K-Cup is one with darker, bolder flavors that withstand dilution as ice melts. This gives you the best chance at enjoying the coffee taste you know in the iced beverage you love.
Keurig recommends Van Houtte’s Colombian Dark Coffee K-Cup in their recipe, but that isn’t your only option. Here are some other good choices:
- Death Wish Coffee
- Green Mountain Dark Magic
- Newman’s Special Blend
If you need something stronger, try making cold brew coffee without a K-Cup.
Exhausted the iced coffee? Try something different:
- Iced Latte: Add frothed milk.
- Iced Mocha: Add chocolate syrup.
- Coco Mocha Smoothie: Brew an Island Coconut K-Cup and add coconut milk, sugar, and a splash of chocolate. Add ice and blend!
- Iced Tea: Replace your coffee K-Cup with a tea K-Cup.
Iced Coffee K-Cup freshness is only so-so, which is an issue with almost all K-Cups. To really enjoy a fresh cup, consider brewing an Iced Coffee K-Cup clone using fresh coffee and the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup.
Not only will your coffee taste better (seriously, it’s a night-and-day difference) but you’ll save 50% on every serving.
Iced Coffee K-Cup Caffeine Content
Iced coffee K-Cup caffeine content varies on the roast used, but most will use either medium or dark roasts, which have about 75-100 mg of caffeine per serving.
But Wait…Are You Paying Double for Stale Coffee?
If you’re drinking Iced Coffee K-Cups, you probably are.
Switch to the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup and save money every day while enjoying better, fresher coffee.
There are four great reasons to make the switch today.
1. Save 90% (or more) on each cup of coffee
The average DeliBru user saves $832 every single year by kicking traditional, single-use K-Cups to the curb. That’s enough to buy 6 brand new, top-of-the-line Keurig coffee makers each year!
2. Enjoy fresher coffee
Traditional K-Cups are filled with old, stale coffee. You wouldn’t pay double for dried-out, day-old pizza, so why do the same with your coffee?
With the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup, you can savor every sip by using freshly ground coffee beans for a mouthwatering, aromatic cup.
3. Stop being limited!
Traditional K-Cups limit you to whatever stale roasts manufacturers decide to package. With the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup, you can drink any coffee in the world!
4. Feel good about saving the environment
Enough K-Cups are sold every year to circle the earth over 10.5 times. Unfortunately, most are made with #7 composite plastic, which can’t be recycled.
Do you want to be part of the problem or part of the solution?
Eliminate needless K-Cup waste and feel good about getting your caffeine fix by switching to the DeliBru Reusable K-Cup!
